This is one Kootenay boy who knows how to party. He spins Hard house, NU-NRG, Breaks, and Trance. Remeddie aka Eddie Mckimme has only been DJ'ing a little over a year, but when you hear him on stage you wouldn't believe that. He is the co-founder of Straightline Productions, which throws parties in the Kootenays. It is quite obvious that he loves being a DJ. Whether he is on stage or on the dancefloor, Remeddie totally cuts it up. Its only a matter of time before he makes it big.

INTERVIEW by Graham Robinson

So why did you get into DJing in the first place?
Well, Ive been in the rave scene about 2 years, and it just looked like something fun to do. And ... Eric (DJ Cinto) and Dan (DJ Bassment), they inspired me pretty much, and have been my influences.

What has been your biggest gig so far?
Probably a party called Deep Freeze in January. Really big crowd; lots of people there. Good vibe? Very good, ya!

So what is your favorite track that you spin?
I do have one track called Castles in the Sky, and all the ladies love it!

We talked about your upcoming parties, but do you have any other future plans coming up?
I just want to spin for as long as I can, probably the rest of my life. Just cause it's such a fun thing to do and once you get it, you got it for life. Workin the crowd is a good thing to do.

What DJs inspired you the most?
Id have to say Cinto and Bassment, just cause they are my age and I have grown up with them the past 2 years. And there really good freinds to me. I'd probly have to say DJ Micro, he plays the kinda stuff I like to hear.

So what do you think about the rave scene these days?
There are alot of people getting into it that just do it for the drugs actually. And thats not the right thing to do.

What does it mean to you then?
It means getting out and dancing all night, having fun with friends. Fooling around you know, just goin off.

Any other thing you want to say?
Id just like to say that this party we're at tonight is going to be very fun, and I played a really good set tonight! That's all I want to say!
